THE SUSTAINED WELFARE/GENEROSITY LEGACY OF ENGR. PROF. S. O. ONOHAEBI, FNSE, FNIPE, MyrP- THE RECTOR OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT, UROMI, EDO STATE.
“If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Immanuel Kant.
The Rector has again demonstrated that his commitment to the well being of the staff is not a cosmetic expression of empathy but a conviction that is deeply rooted in love for the people he shepherds.
The Institute had experienced a prolonged delay in the payment of November 2021 salary by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Inadvertently, this has some economic implications in the lives of the staff of the Institute. Happening when the year is winding up is not without excruciating consequences but the Management through the messianic tendencies of Engr. Prof. S. O. Onohaebi, FNSE, FNIPE, MyrP, have made the situation seamlessly soothing and comforting to all and sundry.
The future is hope, but the Rector has brought the future to the present by gifting every member of the Institute a bag of rice to ameliorate their conditions in this festive period.
“One beautiful heart is better than thousand beautiful faces.” William Shakespeare. The beautiful heart of the Rector has put smiles in the face of the least person in the Institute.
His welfare philosophy is uniquely mindblowing. He believed in life and let’s live. With this, he has indirectly introduced what one may coin to be an ‘official family’ or ‘administrative community’ where togetherness and unity of purpose is above all else.
The sustained goodwill gestures and welfare initiatives of Mr. Rector and his Management team cannot be overemphasized as it has become a tradition that ensured the happiness of members of staff at the most critical time.
For those yet to collect theirs, please, do so as the collection is ongoing.
Congratulations to all staff and happy holidays in advance.
Thanks to Mr. Rector and his Management team.
